Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just the first step.

A friend of mine sent this quote by Martin Luther King to me last week. I quit my job of 7 years and took a more lucrative position but a position that is going to make me step up to the plate, get more educated and and be better at what I do. My job was should I say" comfortable" but with that became stagnating. I was waffling whether I made the right decision when my friend sent me a letter. I think this quote can be suitable for a lot of things in my life right now, new job, new eating regimen or getting back to my faith.
Take a step in faith meaning believe in yourself, it may be difficult to venture areas that are foreign but in the end you will be able to see the staircase. Take a step day by day and learn from our experiences .
Faith is not a belief in things that have no evidence, but confidence in our ability to move in the direction of greater freedom and happiness. My friend who is more of an adventurist than I told me this, "Sometimes, even if the way isn’t clear, you simply have to change something — almost anything — in order to see things from a different perspective. When we’re experiencing a “stuck” emotion, like despair, hopelessness, fear, or depression — those emotions that freeze us in place, unable to go forwards or back — sometimes we just have to try something new. We need to have the faith to take the first step."
Today is my first step I can either go forward or back.
