Vacation & NO weight gain. WoooHooooo!!!!

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Just back from vacation and NO weight gain. WoooHooo. I'm so proud of myself I could do cartwheels....OK I'll settle for jumping up and down. I took everything I've learned so far at Spark and utilized it. Decided not to try and lose but just maintain. The cool part about this vacation was how great I felt after losing 18lbs. My energy level and enthusiasm for life was huge. This was the best vacation I've had in a long time. Usually I just sat around slept and of course ate whatever the heck I wanted. This time I went to the lake for 5 days (took long walks), drove across state (something I've never had the courage to do without my husband driving) by myself with my 2 sisters and niece, and totally enjoyed every single minute of it. This is the first time in years I've returned to work feeling fantastic not with a food hangover, bloated & miserable. Now it's time to lose the rest of this weight. Although I have to admit I might have set my goal a bit lower than necessary. I for sure don't need to weigh what I did when I was 20, 30, or 40. This lifestyle change I've made is to become the best me for my 53 years. I already feel like a different person and that's such an awesome thing.
