Oh so close to 50!!

I am only 6 lbs away from losing a total of 50 lbs. It is pretty exciting. The only thing is that I have been stuck here for about a month and a half. I upped my exercise and I am trying to eat healthy, but lately I feel like I have been slipping nutritionally, because I have felt frustrated. So here I am ready to get back on track. I am ready for a new day and to keep myself accountable. So my goal is get to get those pesky 6 lbs off by the end of May. Hopefully I will be able to do. I need you guys to keep me accountable and hopefully by the end of the month I will be able to say, "I made it, I lost 50 lbs with Sparkpeople".

    Hanna -- you are doing SO GREAT! I think you've already had some wise comments here, and I echo them -- don't rush too fast, track everything, and stay at the low end of your calorie range. 50# lost feels great, and I know you'll go on from there to reach your goals!

    Some great thoughts and wisdom here Heather. You have done so well; celebrate that!! Keep focused, determined and forgive yourself too. You feel and look much healthier, and that, in the long run is so very important. Keep your goals realistic and attainable. You are doing super girl!

    We are here to cheer you on! I wouldn't put the pressure of a deadline so close and highly recommend specific goals, what have you been slipping up on? Are you tracking every bite? It is common to get in plateaus so step back and make clear goals and you'll be at 50 pounds in no time!

    You know what? What you have done already is amazing. You deserve to be proud of your accomplishment.

Losing weight is a nice by-product of learning to treat your body right. Goodness - if you lost your 50 pounds by mid-june, or even on June the first - does that mean you accomplished less?

Goals need to be living and breathing things - Perhaps if you got to 49 pounds lost, but had cleansed your veins of plaque (something you didn't set as a goal - but is truly vital) - does that also lessen your accomplishment!?

You are already accountable - you have achieved what few people can do - and you know how to maintain it. Just take small steps to adjust away any remaining bad habits - one at a time.... And the goals just happen. You are GREAT! emoticon
