Okay, so, I decided if I was really being "serious" about my weight loss efforts, I would need to know how many calories a day I am burning. I mean, I go on the elliptical and put in my weight and age and it tells me that I'm burning 700ish calories an hour and when I put in in here, it says I'm burning almost twice that. Which is right? It's a big difference when you are working out 3-5 days a week! What if what I think I'm burning isn't what I'm actually burning? It will make me set goals to reach. We'll see how it works.
I must admit, I don't think I was ready for the Bugg before today (or at least recently). I think I would have watched it, trying to figure out how to do the least amount of exercise or anything to get the most amount of calories burned. I would have watch the readout and figured, "hey, I can eat x# of calories more".
But since I've been part of SP, I've grown. I have learned how to eat, how to pair foods together so that I'm not starving an hour after eating, how many calories I should be getting from fat, protein, and carbohydrates and (most of all) identifying my emotional triggers that make me eat. I'm not perfect, I still slip up a lot but I'm so much more aware when I do.
I think that this is the perfect tool for me right now. I can't wait until it comes in!
