First Week of Bootcamp

You know, getting up at 5 in the morning isn't nearly as terrible as I thought it would be! That's what I learned this week when I joined Fit Fun Bootcamp in Madison, WI.

Rain or shine, we meet outside at a local park and work our little tails off. Most of the exercises reminded me of gym class...especially the fitness testing we did on Thursday! (I ran a half mile in 7:42 and I'm looking forward to seeing my progress as my fitness improves!)

The things that surprised me most are 1) I can get up at 5am- who knew? 2) Exercising in the morning makes me MORE productive at work and MORE energetic- I was expecting to be exhausted but that wasn't the case and 3) I CAN DO IT and it's actually (gulp) FUN!

Now, all of a sudden, my goal of losing 60 pounds seems like it's really going to happen. I have been dragging my feet on the exercise portion of SP and now I'm wondering why I did that to myself. It also begs the question, what other areas of my life have I been avoiding due to fear or misunderstanding? Hmmmmm...... something to meditate on!

    You are amazing! 5 am work outs..rain or shine...with that type of dedication you will reach your goals!
