ARGGGGH!!! Feeling defeated!!

Saturday, May 08, 2010

Well .. 2 weeks ago My weigh in was .5 away from my original goal!! What a high that was!! Well weigh in yesterday , I was up 3! Yikes!! Why is 138 such a hard number for me to get below ?? I need support!! I refuse to give up but it is such a battle for me!! I log in my nutrition... I hardly ever sit still... I do barn chores..ride horses.. Exercise..maybe not enough.. May be I should follow the Spark menu plans I haven't tried that yet... Hmmmm. It just feels like that will be to costly ..especially since my husband eats differently. I NEED SUPPORT and a major shift!!! emoticon emoticon

I'm stuck at a plateau too. It seems like I've been for ages. I finally decided that it is more important that I feel energy and health in my body than worrying about a number. I still try to get down. It would be nice, but I have to enjoy being in this very moment. I hope you do bust through this plateau, and please don't forget TX on Monday.

Wild Woman! How is it going now? Were you able to get past your plateau? Try changing out what you eat at each meal. Your body gets to anticipating if you have been eating the same thing at the same meal time every day, and a change up will help! Let us know! emoticon

Don't beat yourself up for the negative things. Celebrate that you are only 3 pounds from your goal weigh! Hang in there, you are doing great!

Hang in there! Don't get discouraged. Try to think about what kinds of things that you were doing when the weight was coming off...were there fewer goodies in the house to tempt you? Were you exercising more? Were you measuring out portion sizes? Try to pinpoint what worked and then re-commit. And remember, it is impossible to stay the same weight every single day. Weight fluctuates. A few weeks back I went up 3 pounds and the next day I was down 2 pounds. It was weird. But I think things like that happen, and it's important not to let it sabotage your efforts.

When I am bummed about the number on the scale I put on some fat pants which are now very loose pants and remember there are other ways to see results..... (hope that made sense)

My DH has a favorite quote, "We all lead lives of quiet desperation". Weight loss is like the Chinese water torture...little drips that, individually, do not hurt but, collectively and over a long period of time....are defeating and painful.....

if we let them .....

Get those weights out....Hot pink, huh? Sweet!

Are you getting enough calories, some studies are now showing that to boost your metabolism you need to boost the calories, check and see that you are getting enough for the weight you are trying for, sometimes less calories means plateaus or weight gains because you slow your system down to much.

i hear you about the numbers and trying to get below. pat your self on the back for what you are doing right and add just one more thing..maybe lift some buckets of oats as weights while you are 'whispering' to your horses? i got to add that 'one more thing' to my day too....now where are my hot pink 5 pound weights. emoticon
