Last night my wife and I decided that I would be starting the Medifast plan. I will meet with my health coach today (I actually saw her last night at a Love Song concert and told her the good news), and order my first months worth of food. It looks like it will cost me about $250 to start my first month (I found a $50 coupon, WOO HOO). My Health Coach thinks that I would be a great Health Coach so she is trying to talk me into that side of the program also (We'll see). I definitely know many, many people who would benefit from the Medifast program but I want to be the guinea pig so to speak before I ask anyone else to make the commitment to the same program.
On paper it looks as though I will do well with Medifast as it is very similar to how I lost my first 130lbs, minus all the weighing of food and counting my calories.
I will continue to update you all on the ups and downs of my new challenge, this morning May 6th I weighed 318. My lowest weight has been 304 and that was approximately 8 weeks ago, but since that time I continued to workout but, my eating habits have not been good at all. About 3 weeks ago I actually hit a high of 332lbs, and since then I have gotten back to eating correctly. I still have about 100lbs that I would like to lose, which would have me somewhere in the 200-225lb range, and I think that will be perfect for me at 6' tall.
