Grr, stuck.

I've been in phase 2 of South Beach for almost a week and I have not lost an ounce, in fact I've gained 1 full pound. I am bummed out, but I knew that I should not eat a lot of carbs at first but I did...this happened to me the last time I did South Beach, gradually I would eat more and more of the starchy carbs during phase 2 and I ruined my progress.
My solution: 1) realize the issue--not losing and not following directions, and 2) follow the directions and MAKE IT WORK!
Tonight I am going to eat some delish green beans and some chicken that I marinated. I hope it doesn't rain b/c I really want to grill my chicken--if it does then I'll have to drag out my George Foreman and I HATE to clean that thing. I am tempted to just throw it out every time I use it b/c it's such a pain to clean. WHY WOULDN'T IT COME WITH REMOVABLE PLATES??!!!!!??? Why George?!!!
Anyway, I will be more aware of what I put in my mouth from now on...seems like I was saying this very thing just a week ago. ha ha. Oh well, if I have to remind myself every week than that's how it'll have to be!

    Shelly: Stick with it - to gain back a little bit is classic for beginning P2 and is perfectly fine - add the grains and fruits slowly but definitely add them and you will be ok! emoticon

    Good luck! I too am trying no/less carbs....its really hard. I'm not following a specific plan just trying to cut them out. Having a hard time......hope you are able to have a better week.
