laminated food cards

Wednesday, May 05, 2010

I had made some cheat sheet cards for fast food restaurants in my area (photo on the blog) and a couple of folks have asked if they could see them or have a copy. I figure I'll post a link to a file that you can have of what I've got, which I'll do sometime later this week.

The restaurants I've picked are just ones I go too and the items I picked were less then 400 calories and just items I felt would fit into my food plan. Restaurants: McDonalds, Chick-fil-a, Wendys, Popeyes, Taco Bueno, Schlotzkys, Arbys, and Subway. I'll probably be adding some others, specifically Jason's Deli, Pei Wei, Panera Bread etc...

If you have a restaurant that you would like me to put together a food card let me know by posting on this blog entry.

Awesome! I'm a Papa John pizza fan personally. Ruby Tuesday and TGIF are also faves of mine. Chinese food in general as a general idea.... Wow, Becky, you struck gold with this one. I think I'll do this for my spark nutrition favorites that I eat over and over.

I have been wondering if there was a way I can list all my favorites with their nutrition contents without adding everything to a day's meal!!

What a fantastic idea! Burger King has a paper on their "eat-in" trays that lists like 5 different "under 500 calorie" meals. But you don't get it till AFTER you order and get your food.

I second the vote for Pizza Hut and also request Burger King - b/c who saves that paper after it's covered in your three-year old's ranch dressing? Really?

Oh I agree Mr. P., but unfortunately life means fast food - sometime, somewhere, esp. when you add in I have a 16 year old son and a 12 year old daughter. I prefer knowing ahead of time what I can get rather then be caught off guard.

I generally don't entertain the idea of fast food anymore due to the high sodium content. It's unfortunate because some of the stuff on their menus are getting better.
