Obviously, the sunflower seeds and microwave popcorn were big problems---I can't believe what a sponge I can be! I would guess all 7 pounds were water retention. I know my system had to be totally shocked by the salt over the weekend, then add to it TOM and I shouldn't be so surprised at the number on the scale---I still am waiting for the 4-5 lbs that go after TOM which should be any day. Since my TSH was good I am still at .20 on the levothyroxine but am having the thyroid scan tomorrow and follow up with the Dr. on May 11--- so will weigh again on his scale then. I can only hope to be at around 157-----then I just need to concentrate on reduced calories to get under 150 by July 4.
Plan isn't much different than last few months :
400 cardio minutes per week
(4 days @ 80 split into 40 treadmill 40 elliptical plus 2 days at 40 each)
Upper body 2x week dumbells 9 exercises 3 sets
Lower body 2x week 4 machines 3 sets
calves/abs 2x week 4 sets each
meal 1: 2 eggs+ 1/2 cup tomatos+ apple
meal 2: salmon+tomatos+ apple
meal 3: whey protein+ apple
meal 4: tuna + tomatos
meal 5: bag froz mixed green veggies+ 1 egg+milled flax muffin
meal 6: blueberries, cherries, or strawberries + whey protein + milled flax sprinkle
Add 1 sweet potato with cinnamon and/or 10 oz raw almonds if still hungry
Plus I really need to get more than 6 hours sleep and bump up the water
Also, keep chewing the parsley 3x a day and add ginger and cayenne to the veg dinner
This has been the plan but those darn healthy but uncontrollable carbs keep creeping in......
Ya, and for anyone interested, I don't drink any kind of soda, fruit juice or fake sweetner drinks, just water and herbal tea with real lemon. I don't eat bread, white rice or anything white or with sugar or flour, no butter, no oil except once a day 1tbsp olive oil on veggies, or spray olive oil to cook my morning eggs... no dressings, no dairy---yup no cheese , no milk, not even yogurt!
No red meat and eat chicken only once a month at most.
I don't eat out except if I am forced into going with BF or GF and they hate me because I can't order anything and pick apart every thing I am served because the restaurant rarely gets it right! People think I am a food freak bacause I eat an apple and can resist the Friday baking events at work.
The hard truth is that you can still gain weight by overeating steel cut oatmeal or lentils with no calorie hot sauce or brown rice with raisins or natural peanut butter on apples----all are my weaknesses and too many calories is too many calories no matter how they add up
