Even The Mighty Have Fallen to the Loathsome Cannolis!

Sunday, May 02, 2010

Don't know about you, but this piece of reality TV trivia got a good chuckle from me:

Busy weekend heading out of town yesterday, returning today...visiting in Philadelphia. And HOT! LOVED IT! 95 degrees both days! My Nordic Walking Pole part arrived just in time so I could use them during rest stops. Had a great workout on a Life Fitness elliptical...noticing that my heart rate doesn't climb as much as it used to during the peak of my workouts. Used to reach around 140 or even it seems to peak around 130. One more number to measure progress beyond the scale!

Looks like I'm going to get rained out of cycling much of the week ahead, we'll see how it goes...!

Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend and you all are rested, recharged and ready for the week! :-)

I love cannolis and I'm glad that Tyson doesn't. More for me!

Way to go on your fitness!

Improving your heart rate is such a wonderful improvement to have made. That is awesome. You are a warrior for sure.

Sorry to hear you rained out of your bike ride. emoticon

Raining here this whole week, too it looks like. But my schedule will make it possible to hit the gym on several days so I don't have to settle for DVDs in the living room.

Keep Sparkin!

    I liked the clip.
I have had a few "engagements" with other pastry but I am not a fan of cannolis.
I need to get a hrm I have no idea what my rate is, but the dr. said it is 60 resting.
Have a great week!

Good for Mike abstaining from the Cannoli, I was looking at them and if it had zoomed in one more time I probably would not have been a pretty sight. Unfortunately I have always loved them. Lots of Italian restaurants in my old town. A large Italian American population who know how to cook. But, alas, not today! I will enjoy my healthy breakfast that aren't clog logs as Mike put it. As you are enjoying your healthy bike ride_woohoo! Enjoy your day! emoticon

Funny I would have never imagined Tyson being so shy (he seems shy at the beginning of the interview, doesn't he?)... maybe it is the cannolis which made such an impression on him?

Sounds like you had a sporty weekend! a heart rate of 130: that's a great figure!
