Busy but lazy day

Sunday, May 02, 2010

Today was one of those extremely rainy days we get, when our hill is covered in fog, the rain is pouring down, and we even had thunder and lightning. With all the fog, we kept the windows shut - otherwise you can see the fog drifting through the apartment.

So I decided today I'd finish putting everything away from my last three trips - they were right in a row, with only 3 to 6 days between, and so things piled up.

Then I painted about 20 yarmulkes - with the Hebrew alphabet, with turtles, dolphins, sailboats. I have 9 left, then I'll take them down to the synagogue gift shop.

Normally I'd walk in place for a while, for cardio, but my knee is complaining - maybe from the weather, maybe from the 5 to 8 miles a day in Washington DC. So I'm giving it a rest. And will talk to my orthopedic dr when I see her on Friday for my shoulder.

I am not surprised that your knee is playing up with all that you have been doing lately. Please save one of those kippa's for me in case DD has a baby boy in October. That one will be accepted for sure.

Wow, I'd love to see the fog in the apartment some time. Sounds awesome!

We're about to have a great big thunderstorm here in Baltimore and my knee is acting up. It knows weather changes are on the way. Hope your knee feels better!
