Sunday blues...

Woke up with a stinking cold - sore throat, blocked nose the works! Not feeling great and I also feel disappointed in myself as I realised that I drank a bottle of wine yesterday - it all started with one glass in the sun, after my DH and I had cleared out the garage. Then through the course of the evening the rest of the bottle got consumed - not good! I realise that I have no resolve once I have had one glass of wine, so I am now going to say 'No' to the first one and restrict my drinking to special occasions.

This is an important realisation for me, when I look back at my food tracking and realise that I don't eat that many calories but I drink a lot with social glasses of wine!

The rain has just stopped so off to the Park to help my daughter learn to ride her bike - something positive for the day. I'll do some steps while I'm there

    it is fantastic that you realize where you extra calories are coming from, thats a great step in the right direction, take advantage of the park , swings can be fun for you and your daughter but you can make it into a workout as well ,

    I made the same mistake last night. I went out for dinner and my husband and I split a bottle of wine. Next he pulled out a free dessert coupon and before you know it, we were members of the clean plate club! Of course this was after a carefully ordered low calorie, low fat meal. Normally, we don't exercise Sundays, but we both agreed we're going to the gym today.

Take small steps and change gradually. You don't want to be so restrictive that you give up. Maybe have just 2 glasses per week and you decide whether or not you want to have both in one night. Then have water the rest of the time.

    Yes, that's what happens with alcohol, we loose the will to be careful. So easy to do, still, it's good to know so there is a choice next time. Don't beat yourself up too much, it's a journey and there is a lot to learn about ourselves.
