Or Moko Jumbies

These are the stilt dancers - straight out of West Africa, the Moko Jumbie is an important part of local culture. People start as small children, maybe age 6 or 7, with very short stilts - by the time they're teens, they have the tall stilts, which strap onto the legs (up to near the knee) - and no, moko jumbies don't hold onto anything - they just dance, bend, hop, jump, and do all kinds of things while about 6 or 8 feet up in the air!!!!!

I have never seen that before. They look very scary. They must have to practise for hours at a time to do all those manoeuvre's. Brilliant!

I remember homemade stilts when I was a little girl (they made me a taller little girl): lots of fun, but never reached THESE dizzying heights!
