Last night I decided to do a 20-minute workout after class instead of grabbing a late-night snack at Taco Bell (I had a homemade snack afterwards, however...probably a healthier choice since it was homemade but still around the same amount of calories).
I am familiar with 30 Day Shred; I've done it before, but I only made it to level two and then I kind of just stopped doing it.
I decided to make Level 1 my 20-minute workout for last night. Here is my first reaction: the strength exercises killed me! When I used to do 30 Day Shred, the strength exercises weren't so bad...maybe I just remember the exercises being easier last time I was in the routine of doing this workout regularly. It didn't really hurt my arms, and my pushups were still okay, but the leg exercises have made my legs sore this morning!
I couldn't believe how tired my legs were after the workout. The cardio wasn't too difficult, but I've gotten a lot better with cardio since doing TurboJam regularly. I need to work on my ab strength, too, because I was pretty wobbly during the ab circuits.
I think I might have to give Level 2 a try soon :)
