YOU CAN'T LOSE WEIGHT AND KEEP IT OFF WITHOUT CHANGING YOURSELF!
Well, yesterday was a busy day! WEnt to a funeral, saw three clients in the afternoon, went to a ribbon cutting and open house and then got home just in time to change clothes and get ready for my 3 mile walk downtown. Here's how it went:
Well, they were both blue! But I walked 3 miles! You can really tell the difference between a new shoe and an old one. The new one was nice and tight and the old one was loose, however my toes cramped in the new one. My legs hurt in the back of the knee. I was really conscious of it. But I walked 3 miles in 48 min. Not bad. Even my husband was impressed. One more walk prior to the 5K on Saturday evening. I did not achieve my goal of running but I'm a walking.
There was a cute shirt at the store. On the front it said, ONE MORE MILE. And on the back it said, OH, Lord, please let someone be able to read this message! I am glad I am back into walking and I appreciate my friend Pat as without her inspiring me to get out there, I wouldn't be doing it at all.
I didn't do real well on the eating front as I sampled a few snacks at the open house and a klondike bar after the walk. Oh, well. I'm up a pound again. Just can't keep that pound or two off but maybe I'm retaining fluid. Didn't get to drink much yesterday or get near a bathroom. Today is busy again but not quite as busy.
I have a lot more energy now. I'm a nap taker and most days this year, I would crawl into bed in the afternoon. But now, I find, it's no good. Can't go to sleep so I get up. Couldn't get to sleep quickly last night either but slept well. Tomorrow!
