How cheap are you?

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

Hey guys, are you a cheapskate? (aka, bargin hunter) As old-fashoned as my VHS machine is, I can always find cheap videos at thrift stores. I've been getting a little bored with my video workouts lately, so I went to a local thrift store this week-end and bought 9 old tapes for an astounding price of $2.19!! for all 9 tapes!!! WOW I added variety to my exercise routine in a really big, (and cheap) way. I also went to the local park and rode my bike for 18 miles! I'm pooped, but my sense of accomplishment is through the roof!! If you're in the market for exercise machines but are on a tight budget, some of the larger thrift stores have used equipment dirt cheap. I found a BowFlex in great shape for $319.00 and an eliptical trainer for $200.00. If I had gotten these things new, they would have cost around $1,700.00. Big difference huh? I don't think I'll be bored again for a long, long time. emoticon

P.S. For my blog today!! I found my exercise equipment at Garage Sale Depot. I don't know if you have this store in your area, but I'm in W.Palm Bch., Fla and we have one here. Try Garage Sale Depot.com to see where to go and if they are all over.
