Why I "got back on the wagon"

Monday, April 26, 2010

Found out today that the numbness in my leg that I was afraid was a stroke and caused me to get back on the wagon (of eating well and losing weight) is "Meralgia Paresthetica", damage to a specific large nerve, often caused by... drum roll please... obesity. Combined with sleeping in an old camper bed! LOL. (It started the night we camped down in Santa Cruz a few weeks ago). The Doc was glad to hear I was losing weight. Should clear up in a few months. It's not dangerous. Here's a link if you are interested:

This also caused me to get the doc to put me on some new blood pressure meds... and they are working! :-)

I am glad that your leg was nothing really serious. I know that procrastination and avoidance are big issues in my life, ones that I am working really hard on. Keep up the great attitude and everything will fall into place.
