Weekend of Walking

Monday, April 26, 2010

Friends of mine have a team in the Milford Relay for Life this weekend and I'm walking in it. I am looking forward to getting a lot of steps in this weekend- and I'm hoping the weather is decent (at least no rain).
I'm wondering if I should get out there and just walk until I can't anymore- or if I should just do so many minute "on", so many minutes "off"...
If anyone has done these 24 hour walk things before I'd appreciate the advice.

Oh and if you happen to be in the area- check out the THV Relay Renegades team and stay hi!

It's this weekend coming up... I hope the weather predictions are wrong because they are saying rain, rain, rain.

I'll be sure to pack changes of clothes- including a couple pairs of tennies and socks. They have a tent for us to keep food/water/clothes in so I should be good there... thanks for the info!!!

Hi there! I have done the one in Grand Blanc, Flushing & Ann Arbor.

When I participated we always walked in shifts. We always had someone on the track and then people back at the tent for relief.

Some teams sign people up in advance for time slots.

Make sure you have good shoes, a change of clothes or dress in layers. If your there for a long period of time the weather conditions could change.
The relays are a lot of fun!
