Okay, so today I remembered to bring shorts, T-shirt and towel to work.

Problem: forgot the sneakers and was wearing Hushpuppies and dark socks...combined with shorts & T...? That'd be quite a sight walking along the! Okay, for today, just swap my dressier work shirt for a T shirt and make the best of it!

Started out for my 3 mile RiverWalk with a fast walk. Tried to walk faster...but after a stretch it just was NOT ACCEPTABLE...too slow, too limiting...let's kick 'er up to a jog!

And we're OFF! Jogged the whole rest of the route and the least 2 of those 3 miles. Now I've jogged further distances on my treadmill, but we all know how the real world and the treadmill are two different things...! Felt GREAT! Mopped up as best I could with the towel and carried on with my day. Tonight I'm "feeling" it in my thighs in a good way.

I've decided (barring any RADICAL change in the temps DOWNWARD) I'm going to bundle up against the chill and commute on my bike tomorrow and Friday...and then Saturday head out on another ride with the Bike Club after our roadside clean up efforts.

So it's looking like a NICE stretch of biking coming right up! What better way to kick off Earth Day!

    Don - you have had quite the week for trying to exercise! You get an A+ for perserverence and inspiring all of us who might have been tempted to say "forget it"! I hope the next few mornings aren't too chilly a ride for you. Keep us posted!
