Taking Responsibility for One's Own Happiness!

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

I'm currently working on NOT allowing my happiness to be dependent upon what my husband does or does not do in order to encourage me.

I don't need a LOT of encouragement, but a little is nice. Being a teacher in this economy, can be a very stressful job. Not many "Thank You's" in the profession any more.

It used to be unusual for a student to have a Probation Officer. Now it is not so "uncommon". I guess one can figure out that if a student has a P.O. it means that education is NOT that individual's top priority - obviously making teaching that student more difficult.

I NEED to stop eating "fast food". Constantly driving kids around allows little time for cooking. My husband is somewhat of a "workaholic". I get to do most of the "driving kids around" during the week. Wishing I had better cooking habits. I'll work on it this summer. Hopefully I will be able to develop some better cooking/eating habits.

Wow. I never knew kids in the school system could have a PO. I've got a lot to learn as my first and only baby enters kindergarten this year. I can't imagine what it must be like to teach teenagers these days (I'm assuming here that you teach highschool). Stay healthy and strong!
