Chica just got a chance tonight to relax and catch up on your blogs...don't forget how well you've been doing - enjoy the ride reina because this is forever si? so don't beat yourself up on those times when it is out of our hands - ni modo -yo tambien me pongo - oh I don't know - poco "blue" right before my monthly and the first day or so. (y me pongo de largrimas con cualquier, cheesy cosita! - my Lulu moving worms out of the sun!). So esos dias I nurture myself poquito mas; maybe allow myself a couple of extra calories. Eres tan bella Martha , inside and out - you've been working so hard- give yourself a big hug and say it's ok, some days the journey slows down going uphill but before you know it your're gaining speed again! emoticon

Mamita linda, I am not kidding about the chillax. Stress affects how our bodies produce hormones such as cortisol and affects whether or not we are able to loose weight EVEN IF we are doing everything according to plan. You might want to look up that connection. I have gone through a lot in life to have earned the pseudonym, Sage. When I am stressed for whatever reason, many times self-imposed, when I actually realize that I am CHOOSING to allow myself to be stressed by a stressor, I try to CONSCIOUSLY breathe and encourage my whole being to relax because I realize how much of my whole being the stress affects in a negative manner if I let it. I think if you try to implement some version of that strategy, not only will you have more success managing your stress (regardless of where it comes from), but also it will help you with your weightloss goals by reducing the amount of hormones produced by the body during times of stress the goal of which is to make the body hold on to that extra weight.

Aquí siempre con mis sugerencias que ojalá sirvan para algo bueno,
Sage

Okay so we both dont like to throw away food and we eat it instead. I'll smack ur hand, you smack mine. I am teaching myself how to cook smaller dishes for my fam so theres not much leftover, I'm learning. But who can throw pizza away, not me...lol

I do understand TOM (time of month) can send us for a loop! Esp with the mood swings & cravings., you are not alone hon. That happens to many of us. Dont feel bad it's all part of the program. Sometimes things will go our way and sometimes they will go the other way and as long as you know what you have to do, you can always reapply yourself when you are ready.
Yours were the first comment I got on my blog the other day and it helped me so much, thank you again. So just like you
told me, "you can do it".
Hang in there lady. And dont be too down on urself, somethings we just cant help a whole lot.
Thanks for you honesty.
BTW- you are too cute! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Sweetie, life happens. You are being too hard on yourself. Yes, it is a daily struggle but if you only look at the "big picture" as if what you want to happen should happen exactly when you want it, it is easier to lose site of the actual real "big picture" of your general, overall health and wellness long-term. Think long-term, sweetie. You're weightloss and daily maintenance of the way you are living your life hopefully will be long-term. All that pressure you are putting on yourself on a daily basis never helped anyone achieve their goals and maybe that is what is depressing you--putting too much pressure on yourself. Chillax, babe. Besides, it's your monthly. You have no control over that. Just let go and do your best.

Don't feel like you failed. We as women, it is tough! I am struggling as well. I count my calories, I walk almost 2 miles a day but the scale is not showing it. As long as I know that my size has gone down to three sizes, the scale can say whatever it wants. The good thing is that you are honest. You can do it! emoticon in the mean time, here is your virtual pizza. I understand not wasting leftovers, I ate one last night too.

I totally eat leftovers b/c I don't want to throw them away too:-)!! You didn't let anyone down. It's really hard to do this and be a good mommy, a good wife, and a true Latina! Haha We loove our food:-). Just take little steps, walk a little here and there and you'll get back in the groove. I am totally struggling too...we can do this! It might not happen overnight or even in the near future, but keep your goal in mind and you will get there!
