I keep getting ahead of myself and thinking about what I have to do for marathon training. Marathon training is 4 months long and it's going to be exhausting and demanding and I don't have to start it yet. I need to focus on a different plan!
So starting next week through June 12th (first Saturday long run with my training group) I will stick to the following:
Monday - AM Bootcamp PM Yoga
Tuesday - Chick's Night Running Group
Wednesday - AM Bootcamp PM Yoga
Thursday - Soldier Field 10 Mile Training Group
Friday - Rest
Saturday - Long Run (focusing on building to 10 miles for the race May 29th)
Sunday - Cross Train (bike or swim most likely) probably Yoga too!
I signed up for unlimited outdoor fitness classes for 99 dollars for the whole summer. So the bootcamps are a part of that. I think it'll be a good way to kick butt before my day starts haha. I'll also be walking to and from work weather permitting. I need to start trying out swimming laps. I would do that this weekend but I've actually got a 5k on Sunday! yay! I'm just going to try to mix it up where I can.
I need to get my nutrition in check. It's out of control lately. If I can just work on being more conscious of what I'm eating... I will be running so much that the rest will take care of itself.
I just bought a Garmin Forerunner 405, which I'm so excited about. It's my gift to myself for running a marathon. Once I get that I'll have a better idea of how much I'm burning again! Should be here tomorrow!!
