Is a bad diet day ever "worth it"?

Friday, April 16, 2010

Strange question brought about by a bad diet day. Went out for burgers last night, while I could have chose chicken and salad I picked the cheeseburger. It was good, and I ate about 2/3's of it. It was not so good that I was euphoric, it was not take me to a new realm good. So why did I do it, not sure. But I do know afterwards I felt bloated, sick and just plain icky. Which is how I used to always feel after eating, and I realized last night that I have not felt that way since I decided to begin again. Interesting, maybe this bad diet day was worth it, it helped me realize that I DO feel better when I eat right.

I don't know, for me a really good hamburger once every few months is very worth it!!! I have given up beef except for once a month, and usually that is in the form of a lean steak, and very small at that. I dream of big juicy burgers slathered in mayo and ketchup with onions, pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce....aaaaahhhhhh....of course, that is why I had 110 lbs to lose at the start of my journey.

Glad you realized how much better you feel eating healthy. It really does make such a huge impact on our lives. I know my energy levels are through the roof compared to a year ago.

    Keep up the good work!!
