Okay, all of you have been asking for pictures of me.... How about The First Lady of the United States and me? Yes, I met and shook hands with our First Lady Michelle Obama at a function in San Diego having to do with her two-month old program "Get Up and Move!" My daughter invited me to attend with her; it truly was an honor. Mrs. Obama and I spoke about 30 seconds which was also a thrill. She IS as beautiful as her pictures.
Me? I am now in size 14 pants with a belt cinched around my waist. (Same pictures are in my picture file with the help of my daughter.)
I apologize but I can't say any more right now. I am exhausted and wish to spend the reminder of the evening with my political minded daughter. She is an advocate of education...very good, VERY good indeed.
Good night, sleep tight! And as Tiny Tim said, "God bless each and everyone one of us."
OMG! What an honor! You are SO fortunate to have met the First Lady! Just amazing! The controller is also very handsome. And you and your daughter both look exceedingly lovely and it sounds like she's quite a woman (like mother like daughter, eh)!
What an honor! You look great, thank you for finally posting a pic! Michelle Obama is the best! I joined the "Get up and Move" as a Parent of youngsters so I get all these emails with tips on healthy eating and getting them moving, and I can follow how the program is doing. Anyone can join by going to the sight! She is so amazing! The lunch menu has already changed at my kids school so much! I'm so jealous, next to Oprah (of course) that would be the ultimate celebrity run in for me! 2327 days ago
Woo hoo! This is soooo cool - uebercool! What an amazing experience. I hope I get the chance to meet her someday. Please tell your daughter that we teachers/professors (& parents) are rooting for her to get through to the state powers-that-be how desperate our situation is. It's comforting to know that there are good people working hard for our cause. 2329 days ago
