Help!!!! my motivation dissapeared.

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

I don't know what's happening, I was doing so good for 5 weeks and then this week I have just been fighting with myself since Sunday, to workout. I'm trying to eat right still, I have been over my calories by a couple hundred 2 days in a row, today so far so good but I just can't get myself to get into working out. I did on Sunday but nothing today and nothing yesterday. What's wrong with me, I love the way I'm starting to look, but I just don't have any motivation to start my workout. Help!!!!! emoticon emoticon

Hey, I think maybe my motivation and yours must have went on a short vacation together (LOL) Make a deal with ya, I will start moving some each day if you will. You said you liked the difference you could see in yourself after only 5 weeks, let that motivate you. The thing I am using for motivation is an outfit I got at the end of summer, when I packed it away it fit......when I got it back out Sunday, it did not fit. So I know I got to get moving so I can wear it.

Toni, Sometimes it is hard to get going, but if you force
yourself to get on the exercise wagon again, it will come
I think all of us have run into a slump now and then.
You can do are worth the efort...and you said
you can already see results............Great going!!!!

You guys are great, thank you soooo much for the pep talk and I like the look behind the couch and find it, that's soo funny. I feel a little better today I just finished breakfast and I'm gonna make myself get back on and ride today, if it kills me. I can't throw 5 weeks down the drain. I'm gonna do it. Thanks again everybody, I love this sight, if it weren't for all of you, I probably would have just given up. Time to get going, I'm gonna do it today, right now!!!!!! emoticon

I agree 100% with the other posts - you have to make yourself do SOMETHING. Lay on the floor on your back and move your legs in the air, pretend to jump rope, do squats while brushing your teeth, do a few wall push-ups, cut the grass, wash the outside of your house, go buy a new workout DVD - something you've never tried so it's a new adventure! Here or there, just do some stuff. Don't let the feeling that you must do some formal or structured x number of minute routine be a barrier - you can move by doing almost ANYTHING! Don't let too much time pass though because you don't want to fall back out of the "habit" of being fit. A break for a day or two now & then never hurt anyone as long as you don't make it an extended vacation! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Simply make yourself do something even if you don't "feel" like it. Go for a walk. Turn on some rock 'n rock and start moving...whether it's your usual workout or just dancing.I tell myself it's only for 10 minutes. I find that when I make myself get up and move, I have more desire to stay within my limits on the food plan, I usually end up doing more than just the 10 minutes, AND I feel better. If that doesn't work, start moving furniture around...your motivation has got to be somewhere! Did you look behind the sofa? LOL.(All kidding aside, you can do this! Don't give up!)
