I bought some strawberries today, going to dehydrate them. I guess they were forced ripened because they had no flavour and tasted kinda watery. (well I had to test one out!)

Hopefully the dehydration process will concentrate the flavour a bit so they taste better!

I was lucky, got some good ones this week, but they have been pretty bad for the past couple weeks. Like you I am looking forward to the season.

Good luck! It won't be long and they will be in full season and delicious! Hope the dehydrating helps!

Sometimes they are much better than others. I wish they had samples.

I have been having strawberries on my cereal everyday. They are California berries and are quite large. They are not as good as ones in season locally but they are OK.

You know the other things disappointing about strawberries this time of year is that they go bad overnite. You gotta eat them the day you buy them or throw them out. Very disappointing indeed!
