Last week was a great week. Have now lost a total of 7 pounds so I was happy about that. This weekend my husband and I went out went some friends and I did not have any control about me. I dread getting on the scales today.

Shortly after I started Sparking, someone told me that it wasn't one day that killed us, but that average of the week. It changed how I looked at things. Now, if I think I might not "be perfect", I try to stay on the lower end of my calorie range and up my cardio by about 15 minutes a couple of times that week.

Another member, who is at her goal weight (as has been for a while) says her week always starts on Wednesday. That way, if she slips up on the weekend, she has a couple of days to recover.

Next time when you go out, you will probably do like the rest of us. That is try to come up with a plan in advance to help control the damage. After all, this isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle change. Life happens!

You learn from the good and the bad weeks. You might have blown one meal, but most of the time you get it right. We can all have an oops day, it's what you do the next day that counts! Have a great week.
