jaegerbomb bets

Sunday, April 11, 2010

After a terrible cross country ski race in last years quad race I was not planning to do it again. I was told by my running partner after it that he would be able to kick my a$$ in the quad competition so of course I had to sign up again. I bet him the cost of the event that I would beat him in the swim and I did. I beat last years swim time by swimming the 100 yards 8 seconds faster in 1:38. There is a conversion factor so it leaves me a 10 minute lead going into the next event. It is a 12 mile bike race in July so I will have to train for the hills so that I can increase my lead before the 5 mile run. There is no way I would ever beat him in running so I am hoping that he will procrastinate and not get on the bike to practice. It was also such a great day because my daughter also joined me in the quad this year. I have apparently agreed to drink a jaegerbomb for every event that she completes. She did suggest I can use the sugar free red bull to keep the calories down. The sacrifice a mother makes to encourage exercise!
