We have noticed that you are going down an unwanted path. Since Monday you have not been serious enough about your exercise. You've done 15 minutes here or 20 minutes there. But not what we would call SERIOUS. Yesterday, for breakfast you had 2 bacon burritos. Now while they are pretty healthy, did you really need to consume 2? Then for lunch you had 2 slices of pizza, 2 pieces of fruit and a spoonful of pasta & veggie salad, and then later you had Ghiradelli brownies-double chocolate no less-and had the nerve to plate a few more to eat later in the afternoon. You later went to Wegmans and then bought 2 boxes of cheese filled pretzels. You managed to heat up & eat one box before you went to Target around 930 pm where you purchased one bag of cola gummi candies. Then when you got home, you heated up the 2nd box of 11 and ate those before bed only to top them off with the cola gummi candies. This morning your slight knee pain is indicative of the foods you've been consuming. This has got to stop!
Now granted, you did have a fairly active day but there was no planned exercise. You did make your 10,000 steps for the day so that is a plus.
It's time for you to get back to basics and remember TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE! You need to start packing your meals to take with you to work again. In order to that though, you will need to start preparing your meals on Sundays for the week ahead. Since you will be attending church on Saturdays starting today, you have no excuse NOT to be able do this! Not only will this benefit you, but it will benefit your whole family as well! We suggest while you plan your meals for the week, you sit and make out your exercise plan as well!
We really think that you need to not overwhelm yourself with too many activities. Today your original plan was to get up early, take Emma and your friend to meet your Mom at the quarry at 9am. You then will get rocks to put in both your cars and your Mom's. Then you will go to your Mom's to unload all the rocks for her rock garden. Then you will go to Wegman's to buy the necessary items for food preparation for the week. Then after unloading the groceries and having a little time of rest, you were going to go with Emma & friend to Emma's friend's 1st soccer game at 2pm. Then you were going to hang around and chat w/Emma's friend's mom after the game to kill some time until church at 530pm as you would pass the church on the way back home. THIS IS TOO MUCH. You need to learn to not over do it. So we suggest you go to a future soccer game-hopefully this will work out with Emma's new allergy medicine. Then you have a bit of break to recharge your batteries and be fresh for church in the evening. It also gives you time to freshen up before attending church so you aren't all hot & sweaty-not a pretty thing and doesn't work with your blog discussion from yesterday about "preparing our appearance". No, we feel you should be nice and fresh for church and hearing God's word.
The key here is to PLAN! Plan your meals, plan your exercise, PLAN YOUR DAY! We can ALL only benefit from this! And in the process you will be more organized! Imagine that!
Now these are only our suggestions. However, ALL of these things will benefit you AND us-your mind, body, spirit and soul. We don't want you down sliding. Your progress has been so good. With God's help, us, and the help of your family and Sparkfriends, we KNOW you can do this! So put yourself first and COMMIT to making these necessary changes to a better, healthier, more fit and sanier YOU!
