I was in the bathroom washing my hands when I stopped and took a good look at myself-actually I was looking at my appearance. Earlier, I found myself feeling extremely uncomfortable in my own skin. I just felt frumpy when I looked at others who were younger and smaller and size-like a size 0/2! I was in my scrubs w/a colorful bandanna over my messy head of hair. I felt unattractive in my appearance. So as I stood in front of this mirror, looking at my reflection, I found myself looking very unkempt.
The care we take in preparing our appearance, says a lot about how we feel about ourselves. Dressing in scrubs, sweats, t-shirts or other baggy clothes, not taking time to put some makeup on or do our hair-that definitely effects our weight loss journey!
So we need to take the time to primp and make ourselves feel attractive and worth it! Make yourself look presentable. The first impression is a lasting one! Get dressed up
and wear something cute to make you feel good about yourself. You are worth that extra effort. A little jewelry, or even if you just put a touch of lipstick on or a dressy pair of shoes. Get a manicure or do it yourself if you can't afford it at the moment. These little pick me ups are great for our spirit.
I promise to you that from now on, I will not leave home without checking my reflection and making sure I have put forth my best effort! I am worth it!
