I'll wait for you Mary

Friday, April 09, 2010

Impact bursitis will clear up on it's own, I can run anytime I'm comfortable doing so....slow and low. See him again in two weeks, if it's not better - MRI.

He checked my knee out thoroughly. He doesn't think I have any major injuries. But wants to give it a few more weeks to heal up. I have a prescription for a neoprene sleeve to keep the swelling down. I can wear it when I run as well.

He said I can run anytime I feel comfortable. I don't feel comfortable. I'm scared it will hurt. He said runnning wouldn't further injure it, which was a relief to hear.

I go back in two weeks for a check up. If it's not better he'll do an MRI just to be sure there's no other injury. However he thinks all the fluid, bruising is on the outside of the knee and will resolve itself.

Finish the steroid, get off the celebrex, take advil and ice as needed.

Hooorayy!!! :).

Thank you to all the sparkpeeps who kept me going, kept encouraging me and always have my back, knees, feet....

I am soooo glad to hear this!!! I told my husband that if anything happens to my knee, I'm going to continue running, dragging the leg behind me, if need be. So, what is it about running that makes us so dag on crazy?! LOL!

I'm glad that you had good news, and that you can still run. Just take it slow....if it hurts stop. You might be surprised. Have a good weekend.

As I told you - don't wait for me unless you aren't comfortable. Fly if you can. We will both be flying before we know it. The Comeback kids are on their way....look out world.
