In an amazing feat I have managed to make it through two very stressful days without CHOCOLATE. This is a previously unknown occurrence recently (and recently means for about the last 15 years!) Stress --> eating --> chocolate. This is the flowchart of my life. Yesterday I had to take stock and realized that eating chocolate is NOT the only way to deal with stress. It is a temporary fix that makes me feel bad even while I am eating it because I know it is unhealthy to eat it the way I do and ... the calories add up.
So... the amazing part is sometimes it is OK to be stressed, to feel sad, to be nervous ... without stuffing the emotions down with food. And for me, folks, that is a revelation.
