Tuesday, April 06, 2010
Just finished paying the monthly bills - at least most of them. Something has to give and it is usually my mood. Like most small business my income is down more than I expected this year. DH's income did not increase either because the powers that be say there is no inflation. What I would like to know is just where these guys buy food and gas. Oh, I forgot, they don't - we buy it for them!
It doesn't seem to matter if our income goes up or down the bills continue to steadily rise. The power company just raised our average monthly payments by $37 even though we used less in the last 12 months than we paid over those 12 months. I have sent an inquiry questioning their mathematical abilities but it isn't likely to do any good.
I'd also like to talk to whoever started the rumor that eating at home, cooking your own healthy food was cheaper than eating out. My food costs over-all have not dropped a bit in return for all the time I am spending in grocery stores shopping for produce.
In case you are wondering, yes I get like this every month on the day I pay bills.
End of depressing decompression rant.
