So, yesterday I started the two week Dr. Berg Liver Enhancement Plan from the 7 Principles of Fat Burning Book.
I was on track to eat the correct foods and eat all of my calories for the day, then had a rough day at work, stayed late, then wasn't hungry and went to be at 9 pm- so, no dinner and about 500 calories short for the day.
Today I'm starting again and hope to eat all of my calories, feel good and maybe start to lose some water weight.
The plan is designed to heal a person's liver, not to restrict calories or anything else. It's light on proteins and fats, since those can overstress an already low-functioning liver, and high on veggies, raw nuts and seeds and fruits, since those are all high-nutrient foods.
In the past I haven't been able to stick with it (see my blog at salenamikos.wordpress.com). The last time I tried it I followed it incorrectly for 4 days and then stopped. It was just due to not being prepared and not having veggies around, which isn't a problem this time- I'm prepared.
Two weeks seems like an awfully long time to eat this way, but I think if I decide newly each day that this is what I want to do for the day it will go better. AND the book and information makes complete scientific sense to me.
SO, in the spirit of healing my liver so all of my hormones are working properly and I'm dumping fat, here's to Day 2 of the plan this time around.
