I took a picture of my new outfit (or one of my friends did, rather), so here it is:
I had said it was "60's inspired" - it isn't a hippie dress or anything, but the sillouete of the dress and the sunglasses reminds me of Audry Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's, which is one of my favorite movies (one time I used part of it for a monologue for drama class, the part where she's drunk - I love playing drunks, I'm really good at it for some reason...but I digress). Of course, I guess with my figure it's still really more Marilyn Monroe than Audry Hepburn ^_^;;
I think the photo itself is pretty good, but I wish I could pose at least once without looking kind of goofy :P
Anyway, I also posted this to the "Sparkpeople Official After Photo Contest" group. I did it a few minutes after midnight, so hopefully I got it in on time - not that I'll probably win or anything. This is the "before" picture that I also posted:
Since that photo was taken I've lost 23 lbs and gone from a size 14 to a size 8. I also got contacts. Um, I also just got my bleach retouched last weekend, which is another difference between the two photos ^_^;; Of course, I still want to lose at least another 20 - 25 lbs, but I already feel a lot better, and I'm really enjoying fitting into those 8's! The combination of the lost weight and the contacts is really giving me a big confidence boost.
I had a fun day today. I ended up going to the park with a big group of friends after anime club. We picked up wings from Wing Stop on the way (what was really fun was trying to order food for and collect money from 10 people - which sounds a lot easier than it is). Anyway, we ate and then we ran around the park for a bit - the guys had their foam swords, and pretty much all they talked about was LARP, but anyway, there's not much to do in this town, so it was more fun than going home and sitting around by myself. After that we ended up going to Walmart to get one of the guy's groceries (because basicly there was nothing else to do and no one wanted to go home yet), and we ran into a couple more people in the parking lot (I didn't know them, but some of the other people in the group did, and they ended up running around Walmart with us).
