This is sooooo frustrating!

Sunday, March 28, 2010

I know I shouldn't let it get to me, but I'm so tired of this stupid foot! I've gotten the go ahead to start some gentle working out, but 30 minutes on the treadmill and it's swollen again. I hate this extra weight, but I keep hitting the brick wall on trying to exercise. Yes, I know I can do weights and the stability ball, but none of that is aerobic. I bought this expensive treadmill thinking I would be running on it in no time, but I can barely handle 3.0 mph with an incline of 2 for 30 minutes!

On the plus side, I spent all week end cooking and have a refrigerator full of healthy alternatives to my former lazy diet. Am I the only one that thinks its so much easier to hit the drive through than come home from work and cook??? But I've got every night planned and its either quick or its in the crockpot!

Oh well. I'll get there and things sure look better than THIS!

I'm just going to have to learn patience and a bit of perserverance. Overall it was a good weekend so I'll stop complaining now and get ready for a new week.

Ouch! That looks awful! :-( And when you get frustrated about how slow your recovery is just think that if you over do it and hurt yourself, then it'll take even longer!!!
I don't know if you can stand for awhile or not, but punches are a great cardio workout without much lower body involvement. Give it a go next time you workout-maybe try squatting and throwing some cross punches, or balancing on the ball. Hang in there!!

Please, please, please give yourself time to heal so you won't have more problems. You are trying too much too soon. Start out with one minute at a time. and build very, very slowly. Ask your Doctor about it too. Rome wasn't built in a day,so cool it! emoticon Easy does it so you don';t hurt it more and be off even longer. This is something you just cannot rush. You have your wonderful treadmill to use at a slow pace..no inclines, for goodness sack. Baby Steps all the way!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news - but you ain't no spring chicken no more!

The foot does look awful painful! One day at a time still reins. The new treadmill is awesome but you still have to take things slowly.

Cleaner eating is bound to help.

I know you can do it! I know you will do it!! But One day at a time.

Love you,

So now you think you are Wonder Woman with advanced healing powers. Healing takes time and that means you need to allow yourself that time. Remember you got the weight off once and you will do it again.
The bottom picture looks like the wound is painful.

Hugs,
Marty
