Just got out of ICU!

Sunday, March 28, 2010

I have MIA because I was in ICU with heart problems and pneumonia. I am just getting my strength back. Friday was my first day back in my studio and boy did I get a workout with this 1 yr old customer. Then I did senior pics and we walked for miles and up and down hills but I got some good shots. My legs are killing me.
I have my first visit with my heart doctor April 30th.
I plan to be more active on my team threads now that I am better. One of the things my doctor has said is that I've got to lose some weight and stay away from caffeine. No More Chocolate emoticon
So again I am starting over!!!!!

Sounds like you have an interesting job.
I'm retired and never thought I'd say, "I miss working". LOL

Take care and don't over do. It takes time to gain strength.

Glad that you are feeling better--do take care of yourself! I have diastolic heart failure (among other medical issues) and have had pneumonia a few times, so I know how dragged out you get. I can sympathize about giving up the chocolate!!

Sheria, I am so sorry you were so ill. Don't try to do too much too fast so you don't have a relapse. Take care and get as well as possible. We all start over, some many times. Hang in there and do your best.

Sheria, glad you are feeling better.I can relate,as I was in ICU on New Year's Eve and my heart had gone into un natural rhythmm called A-Fib.and A-Flutter.I stayed in the hospital until Jan.5 2010,I was so happy to be back at home.Recovery has been long and slow, baby steps. I just recently had a Cardioversion,a shock to try to reset my heart to a natural rhythm. I recieved 75 jules(electricity) and my heart converted first try,no more A-Fib or flutter, for now.It can unfortunately change back any time or I hope never. If you want to know about the Cardioversion procedure,I did a blog entry about it!I too had to give up coffee and chocolate and I had both everyday. I still miss the coffee,as my DH still drinks it and I can smell it,drives me nutty. I look at it as it is a small sacrafice to keep my heart healthier and stronger. May your recovery go well and don't overdo it,just 1 day at a time! Take Care! Diana emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Sheria, what happened? I struggled with some heart stuff a few years ago. Seem to be A-OK now..but am working to stay that way. Nothing like a health scare to motivate you!!! Thinking of you...I'll try to remember to stay in touch. Love, ASTA

You can do it without caffeine. I stay away from Caffeine because of its affects on me. So I know it can be done. I have lost a pound a week. I'm not going to kid you it's alot of work but the end result really makes you feel good. Keep the focus and before you know it you will be at your goal. emoticon
