Dr. Daniel Amen recently wrote a book on weight loss and is interviewed by Jennifer McClean. Click on the link here if you want to listen to the interview. This will only be available for a short time so listen now! Dr. Amen talks about the brain and the 5 types of overeating that is brain related. Very interesting...

Enjoy and let me know what you think.

The book is available at Barnes and Noble as an audiobook or from I-Tunes. I'm in the car a-lot so I do most of my reading this way. The book was Very good.
It's a good book and I learned a lot. He has "prescriptions" if you fall into a specific type of overeating. After careful consideration I decided that I wasn't really truly any of the 5 but I did have characteristics of a couple so I think some of the "prescriptions" could still be helpful.

I'm so glad you liked it! I want to find this book and take the brain quiz to find out what type I am. Maybe all of them emoticon . Hope it stays up for a while so more people can hear it but it will probably disappear soon. Thanks for listening!

emoticon I just listened to the entire interview. This is amazing b/c interviews rarely hold my attention for more than a few moments. I have seen his book in the book store, but did not buy it. I probably will buy it the next time I have the opportunity.

I took notes on the interview and will transcribe them to keep them in my synopsis library. I think he makes a great deal of sense. I have stopped taking as much fish oil as I did but I will resume. Do you know how much is recommended? I also take a very high Vit. D supplement prescribed by my doctor, but I have to see whether it is D3. I also appreciate the list of foods he recommends, although there are no surprises there. Thank you so much for this recommendation. I appreciate it!
