I think a lot of times we are overwhelmed with the thoughts of exercise, weight loss, eating right.
Family issues trying to make the family happy while we work at making healthy changes to loss weight.
Stress of finances in this time of turmoil in the economy, job losses etc.
When you get another job chances are it is at less pay and no benefits like in the past.
So many different stresses coming from all areas of our lives. It is no wonder we turn to food or bad choices to help us cope in times of trouble. We have to change our mindset and let people help us with these bad choices we make over and over again.
That is where SPARKPEOPLE comes into play. There are so many great stories of success on this site. There is so much information the Spark Employees seem to be constantly coming up with new and better ideas all the time. Now with the new sparksavings.com addition to help with our financial issues is very timely. The exercise videos and the articles on everything from A to Z. I think if we take advantage of just some of the information on here and use the wisdom of other members who have made it and kept it off some for years we can and will make it to a healthy and happy future.
I have been a member for over 2 years lost 20 lbs. in the first 6 months then had a knee replacement put me out of commission for awhile and didn't keep it off.
Now I have been putting a couple on taking a couple off and so on and so on. This year I started the eating clean plan it is a great plan. I was gungho in January but have been having setbacks the last while but I am going to get back on track immediately and take advantage of the nice weather coming soon. I will walk everyday at least a few minutes. My health issues makes it very painful after I walk. I do go to aquafit at least 2 times a week 3 when possible. I just have to get my eating back under control and stay as active as I can with my disabilities. The other thing to remember is there is always someone worse off than you. I read some stories of people with so many different ailments that just keep on going and I am motivated and inspired by them.
WHAT I AM SAYING IS IF WE USE SPARKPEOPLE AND EVERYTHING THEY HAVE TO OFFER TO THE FULLEST EXTENT POSSIBLE WE CAN'T HELP BUT GET WHERE WE WANT TO BE. MAKE THIS YEAR YOUR BEST YEAR YET! I PLAN ON IT! COME JOIN ME IN SAYING THANK YOU SPARKPEOPLE FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR ALL OF US.

I kind of know what you're going through. I've just started at SP and I love the support that I get and it's an easy plan to stick with. I weighed 3 lbs less at the Dr. yesterday and I was there on the 15th. I used to think I couldn't exercise because of arthritis but I find the more I walk the better I feel.

I praise God I don't have kidney failure or congestive heart failure. My blood was tested yesterday and I got a call this morning saying all was normal. Keep up your courage because..... emoticon
