we normally have a family gathing with services and brunch. However, we had a family party last weekend for my father's 81 bday so there will be no extended family gathering this year. However my son and I will be going to brunch...which is special to me!
Yes, while I do not attend a church, I do take the day for what it means. We usually go to my mom's for a nice Easter dinner with family and friends. She will dye eggs with my nephew and we will all get one with our name on it.... Even Jack gets a dyed egg with his name on it! Happy early birthday to you Deej!
MH your memory is wayyyyyyyy too good and wasn't I trying to forget that I'm another year older? lol I'm going to try...heavy on the TRY....to take that day off and make that day about HIM not me. But I'm glad one of yours is sharing in the moment. He should feel Blessed.
This year going to sun rise service (or should I say "SON RISE') then there is a children's festival and then regular church. Then to friend's for dinner and back to the church at 6 for more children's festival.
We go to Easter early morning service, then breakfast, then regular church service. Then the available children and their families come over for a big Easter dinner. This year is a birthday celebration as well on Easter... won't that happen at your house too, Deej?!
