MRI results

Thursday, March 25, 2010

I found out the results from my MRI. I have Degenerative Disk Disease. It sounds serious, I guess, with "Disease" on the end. But what it means is that the cartilage between the disks in my neck are being compressed. Now I have to go into traction for 5 min. a day. I have a device that attaches to a door and a harness for my head. I hope that I won't fall asleep and hang my self:) emoticon

I used that "High NOON" device years ago for my spinal arthritis, age 21,, it does help,, exercise, in moderation helps a lot,, sing songs while you are hanging in there, to stay awake..!

Glad you found out what was wrong and are able to treat it. Be careful hanging from the door though. ;-)

I have that too. I had excruciating pain daily in December/January from my sciatic nerve all the way down my leg. Then it was gone. Still have traces of it. I do my stetches and exercise by walking and riding the bike. So far so good.

It's not serious, it is actually normal to have degenerative disk disease depending on age... I remember my mother having the same traction device, I have had physical therapy on my neck the past few weeks, it has really helped..I had shared with the therapist about this very traction...

I am hoping this helps you, neck pain is painful, and so uncomfortable, good luck!
