I haven't fallen off the wagon but I am clinging desperately to the side!

Thursday, March 25, 2010

It's been a looooong rough week and I haven't had any time to jump on SP for very long. What a difference that made, unfortunately. I have been working all day then spending all evening at the hospital with my grandfather. Haven't been able to work out on the knee very much because it is healing very slowly. On they way home from the hospital I have to grab something quick. It is usually 8:00 PM by then. I'm trying to make good choices but the best of choices in fast food are not the same. I have no food in the house and no time to grocery shop. Grrr, so frustrating but I know it is temporary and it will get better. We are leaving tomorrow for a week long vacation so, once again, minimal control. I will do the best I can in the meantime. When I get home I will be able to get back into my normal routine. Maybe this will just be the extra time my knee needs to heal and I will come back stronger than before. Positive thinking and getting in all my water seem to be the only strategies I am successful with at the moment! I'll take it though, I'll take it! emoticon

Hope you have a nice vacation and use that time to heal and regroup. We shouldn't let setbacks get us off track, however, I know from experience that it is easy to do.

Hope your Grandfather is doing good.

Have fun!

Try to relax and recoup on your vacation. Things will get better and keep up the positive attitude.

Great way to make lemonade! Hope you knee mends 100% and your grandfather is comfortable.

Part of what I learned from Spark is that weight loss is only part of the journey -- learning to take care of my whole self is the goal. Backing off when you have to is okay sometimes.

Keep up with what you can (like the water) and don't overstress.

You'll be back in the swing soon.

Oh poor you! Firstly hope your grandfather is Ok. Secondly, look after your knee. And last have a great vacation. Sounds like you could do with a break.
