Not sure where to go from here...

So, I'm newly (and unexpectedly) single and it's time for a priority shift. I put all of me into my relationships so I think now I need to take this chance to put a lot into ME. It's not a messy situation, the usual, it's not you it's me, this is hard for me too, etc but I think it ended well. Still sucks a ton though because we have been together for a while. So, not sure what this is going to lead to and I not sure where to start moving forward again but I think throwing myself into some self improvement might be a decent start. Here's hoping....

Well, from the advantage of my 'advanced age', that old saying 'every ending is a new beginning' is really true. Very sorry to hear of the big life change, but you're 100% right to make yourself a real priority now. In fact....relationship or not....we all need to learn to do that at some point or another. And if there is one thing I've had to learn along the way, it's that what is supposed to happen, WILL happen. Devote yourself to you for now, and the rest will take care of itself, even when it doesn't feel that way. You're making a wise start on your new beginning.
