Thank you. Again.

Friday, March 19, 2010

I am so thankful for the prayers and encouragement and wisdom extended to us in these difficult days. Today my stepdaughter was arrested for the injuries to our grandson, Heath. She confessed and is now in jail. At 21 she is facing a maximum of 40 years in prison. The one bright spot today is that Heath (13 months) was more himself than he's been since this all started. He ate very well, smiled, laughed. He even took a few steps today and had not been able to even stand before today because he was so weak and frail. We are so grateful over his progress and for his dad and grandparents, who are giving him love and safety and who welcome us into Heath's healing process. We are so incredibly sad over our daughter and sad for her. Our son in law is under enormous stress, as well. I ask you to remember all three of them in prayer, please. Only God is able to put shattered lives back together, and He does so with His love. I know He is able to do all that seems impossible and I give Him thanks and praise for that. Again, I thank you, my friends.

    Hi Missy,
I can repeat several of the comments that have already been made...I cannot even begin to imagine what you are feeling. I am glad that you are seeing improvement in the little guy, that is the silver lining in this very dark cloud.

It seems as if you have been "hanging in there," but you need to have God on your side to hold you up through all of this. I will keep you lifted in my prayers and I will keep the rest of your family lifted as well. Be sure to look out for yourself in all of this, I can see how that could easily be forgotten.
Hugs and Prayers, Sylvia

I hope with the prayers and her some time to heal and hope that she will get a chance to make Peace and heal emotionally and get's a second chance at life,she is so young.I often wonder if having babies at such a young age is such a good idea,maybe some are mature enough,I am just not sure.I will send my Blessings and prayers your way.Heath is so lucky to have such a loving strong environment you have provided.Hugs,Diana emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Oh Missy! emoticon emoticon emoticon

It's wonderful emoticon to hear of Heath's improvement. It truly is. It is sad to hear that the injuries were caused by his mother. I am glad that she is now in a situation where she might get help. I hope she does. I am hoping that my daughters get help. I cannot force them to, but both of them need it: the 23yo who attacked the younger, and the 19yo who was attacked. I don't want them in jail, but I want them to get help!

Prayers continue.

However, you have already been through tough times with the fight of weight and I know you can get through this too. It also makes a difference that your faith is so strong.     Oh, Missy, I know how this breaks your heart. I once hit my daughter when she wouldn't stop crying. I also knew that this was not acceptable behavior towards her or anyone. I realized this after reading the Bible and getting Christian counseling. I was so riddled with anger inside from my past and towards my deadbeat ex-husband, that I took it out on her when I couldn't cope anymore. I'm so glad that I prayed to God to give my daughters a better home than they had with me and my husband always arguing and him being drunk. He answered my prayers and placed a Bible in my hands. I truly saw things in a different light, but only after I gave up my daughters for adoption and gave my own self to God. My daughter's 21st birthday was the 19th! I can't wait to see her and know her again. She is beautiful and healthy. I praise God for the work He has done!!! You are in my prayers!

    I will never understand why some people physically attack others. I especially do not understand why they pick on defenseless little ones. Yes, they can be exasperating sometimes, but that's no call for violence. I hope she gets the treatment she needs and that Heath continues his improvement. Thank you for standing by him. Please keep us updated. -- Lou

My heart is breaking for Heath and his mom and all that is involved.My problems seems small when I come across someone whose is so much bigger. No wonder I've felt the need to keep going to the Father on your behalf...I am so sorry you and your family are going through this ordeal. How heartbreaking it must be for you. I've been praying for your family, but didn't realize just how deep the need for prayer was until now. Thanks for the update.     Missy, I'm so glad you shared your heart tonight. When you read my blog, you'll see a piece of mine, too. Of course, there's always more than what we share...

I hope more than anything that my adult children will straighten out their lives before they bring children into it. If they're messed up, they'll only mess up a child's life, and all those involved.

I'll be praying for you and your family all the time...not that MY prayers get past the ceiling, or anything, but I'll still do it.

I love you;
