Dentist

Friday, March 12, 2010

I have my 6 month exam today at the dentist. For some reason, I hate going. I tense up in the dentist chair. I consciously practice deep breathing so that I can get through the ordeal. I know the anxiety I have before the visit doesn't help.

I have to go for a second opinion at a new dentist today. I just took a clonazepam .5 mg. I am allowed to take 3 a day for anxiety attacks. Doctors and dentists are major causes of stress for me. Sorry doc.

You and I have this in common. I'm the only one who needs laughing gas jsut for a cleaning. I've been known to pass out and faint right when I walk in the door due to the smell of the place. I've learned to deal with it like you with deep breathing techniques and self talks. ood luck!

A trip to the dentist is no big deal really...just relax and make the most of it
