The Wave

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

My picture is from the DVD cover. But The Wave Board is inside the box, along with a non-slip mat and the DVD's. - the box is too large for my scanner, lol.

Here's the SparkPeople review:

I saw this in another shoppers cart yesterday at Walmarts and asked, "how much?" $57 was the answer. So I went to find one for myself! Got to the register and another shopper looked and asked, "where and how much?" So I told her! Yup, I bought it!

I finally took it out of the box this morning and rocked side to side - nice.

Then I rocked front to back - more intense! And all I have done so far is a bit of rocking! Right away I wanted my hand-weights to do bicep curls! So I am thinking this will be a good way to work multiple muscles!

Now I just have to find some time away from SparkPeople to actually use my exercise items! I bought the SP Balance Board and all I can do is stand on it but that still works the core!

Later! emoticon
P.S. The Wave is the board plus the Workout DVDs. I think it is the Board that is called The Wave - not positive though.

I agree, $57 for just DVD's would be a lot of money!

**I like it!!!

I made a comment on your WAVE purchase, THEN immediately looked it up.

Sounds awesome.

I'm gonna get one and take to the beach and it should level out and not rock and buck me off, LOL

Have FUN, but I know that you'll do just that.

Have a SPectacular Day!

Wow let us know how it works out for you. I might be interested in getting this. I don't have a gym membership and just do my work outs at home via DVD and Wii Active and Fit.

SparkPeople had a blog about the wave last summer. They were pretty positive about it.

That looks as if it could work almost like an elliptical trainer if it were used back and forth. I'll be interested to know how you like the wave!

I hope you really enjoy it, and do I EVER identify with getting the shopping DONE, but only being able to JUST get the frozen and refrigerated items into the cold!

I looked at them but had a concern for the knees, but I will stay tuned in to hear the updates. The actual wave is very interesting, I can see where core balance would be great and also muscle in the legs to stay in control.
Cool, keep us informed.
Hugs, Em

Sounds like something new to try. Let me know how it goes. Right now I've got a new gym membership and about 30 fitness classes to choose from, so it will be awhile before I need something new. Now you, have fun! Go for it! And give us a wave while you are doing The Wave!! I know you do great work on SP, but we can't spend all our time in front of the screen. -Marsha

I will be anxious to see more blogs on how this progresses. $57 sounds a bit steep for a DVD but if it works, it is still cheaper than a gym membership :)
