Spring Fever

Tuesday, March 09, 2010

I joined SP yesterday because I needed some motivation. Today I have spring fever... It's nice outside, I'm stuck at work for basically a 13 hour shift allday and it's making me depressed. I sooooooo want Junk food now.... What is a girl to do!! emoticon My job is already disappointing and I truly hate coming to work. I am avoiding the calling out because I want time available in the summer and end of the year to take off an be lazy since a vacation is not in my budget this year... WORK SUCKS!!!

Thanks all! Work is a sticky situation and with the economy being so bad and people not hiring for the good jobs at a good pay at the moment I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. The junk food has been easier for me the past 3 years because my teeth are really bad and soft things like cake are easier for me to swallow rather than chew! So finding alternatives is hard and affording my $13,000.00 price tag to get my teeth fixed is even harder!! But I am trying to keep my head up.... emoticon

Sorry to hear about the awful job situation, emoticon
I know that would make me want to eat junk too. Try to bring your own lunch. Anytime I go out I want to stop and get junk food because that's what I was used to doing. Now I try to keep healthy snacks with me like some fruit (I don't really like fruit but I eat it anyway) or a serving of nuts like walnuts, believe it or not the nuts will fill you up longer than a bag of chips.( I've tested it). But be aware that they have a lot of calories and good fat. If you are tracking your food then you can always substitute the nuts for something else. I've tested it. I found a lot of great advice and articles on here that really help me through my day.
I wish you all the best in your journey. I know it's hard but stay positive and use your SP points to help you stay on track. emoticon

welcome, welcome!!! Glad you made it!

I hear you about the job. me too lately. We have a new administrator who is a huge micromanager!! I mean, I have worked there for 4 years almost and now I am constantly being questioned about everything I do.

I am actually home with my daughter today because she is not feeling well, It was a welcome break from work for sure and some one on one time with her I love.

Keep your head up about work!! Use that frustration about your job and workout!! I do that when I get home from work. After 30 minutes on my elliptical the stress seems to melt away and my rear end is looking quite nice I should say! ;)

I am so glad I found Sparkpeople and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!

Happy Tuesday!!
