Learning to run

Monday, March 08, 2010

So I've been exercising for a while at the gym. I've gotten to where I can run for a while on the treadmill but have never ran outside. Well, today was my day! I ran through my neighborhood all 2.3 miles. Granted my time could be a little better, but hey! Gotta start somewhere! My goal is to start running at least every other day building up to a 10k run. Wish me luck!

Congratulations! I'm also learning to run - be careful not to do too much too soon! I did that and got really painful shin splints, and had to take time off from running. So work up slowly, and remember to stretch!

Don't worry about how fast you are running-I like running outside better than the treadmill is a different feeling and I actually do better outside-good luck!

Congratulations! I am amazed at anyone who runs, because I can not yet imagine being able to do it.

Keep up the good work!
