31 Days to a Healthier Diet

In Today's Feature there is a link to Spark's March Tip Calendar, "31 Days to a Healthier Diet".


Day 9 perked my interest. It says "Start at the perimeter of the grocery store. Fruits, veggies, dairy and grains, which should make up the bulk of your diet, are located here. Eating these unprocessed foods boosts your nutritional intake and promotes health. "

One of the by products of the Spark program is you start gravitating towards healthier living without even making a conscious effort. The other day I needed some items at the supermarket and when I was driving away I realized that I'd forgotten the chips my son asked me to pick up. It dawned on me that instead of walking down every aisle like I used to, I had only shopped from the perimeter! I forgot the chips because I never set foot in the center of the store. I didn't plan this, it just happened.

You feel good when you realize the healthy lifestyle is becoming second nature and takes less and less effort.
